Welcome! I’m Megan, the maker behind unumcornu, a small-batch ceramics shop based in San Francisco, California. Each piece is thoughtfully designed and carefully wheel-thrown and/or hand-built, then glazed and fired out of a local community studio.

I took my first pottery class in 2023 and instantly fell in love with the process. I’m especially drawn to porcelain for its delicate strength and smooth surface, which allows glazes to appear more vibrant. Working in small batches lets me embrace natural variation and individuality in every piece, making each one truly unique.

Unumcornu — Latin for “one horn” — is a playful nod to my childhood fascination with unicorns. The name feels fitting for my ceramics shop, as unicorns symbolize rarity and imagination — much like the ceramic process itself and the one-of-a-kind pieces it brings to life.
